The original designer of this dial and hand combo had a wonderful eye. The blue triangle hour markers on black with the surprising gold hands and white lume along with the red second-hand tip are like nothing I’ve seen before. I can’t help think that this one will take the lead of this collection

Specifications

In the 60s, dive watches were often in the 36-38mm range. To honor this, I designed a case matching the 36mm Sheffield Divers' proportions, without a crown guard and with appropriately scaled lugs. The reliable NH35 movement keeps the thickness slightly less than the 1A 40mm, ensuring it fits well under a cuffed shirt.

The bezel is non-luminous like the originals, and the dials, especially the 1A and 1A Black/Blue, are very faithful. The Silver Dial model features round markers for brighter lume. These watches have coated sapphire crystals, period-correct Tropic straps, and a 200-meter water resistance.

This retro-styled diver watch features a 38mm case, sapphire crystal, and NH35 movement. Customers praised its "excellent value," classic design, and accurate timekeeping. Many noted it's "perfect for smaller wrists." Some found the 38mm size lacking wrist presence, and date adjustment proved difficult for a few shoppers.

I LOVE THIS WATCH! The 1A 38 Black/Blue's fit and finish is A+. I did not purchase this model because of the price, I bought it because this nostalgic model reminds me to my previously owned Swiss made divers. I love the face design and its details: I love the contrast between the brass hands, the red touch on the sweeping second hand, and the black dial with its blue markers. All well balanced in its execution and design. The lume is so, so, but I did not purchase the watch for its lume; being 70-years old with glasses, readability is no issue in dim light. I also love the magnification of the date—it's a great feature and touch. Even thought the bezel is simple coated aluminum, it works well and is true to its original design. Add the 20ATM and you have a perfect all-day diver that is classic and well executed. The NH35 Seiko has been spot on. Very impressed with its time keeping so far. I considered buying a Tudor 54, but this watch at 38mm is a perfect fit and as nice as the Tudor I looked, but for less. great job, Jay!

I bought a 1A 38 black with blue dial a month ago. I am by my own admission a watch fiend. I have over 30 watches and go through them pretty quickly. I usually get bored of a watch and take it off after a couple of weeks but this one won't leave my wrist. I will have it off for a few days and somehow it reappears back on my wrist. I don't know what it is about this watch but makes its way back on after a few days. It's incredibly comfortable but it has heft so I know it's there but I don't mind it. Looking at the dial makes me weirdly happy. Not sure if it's the unique blue indicies or the very blue AR coating (both of which I love). The engraving on the back is kind of antique looking and comforting. However unlike other watches it's not so deep that it's uncomfortable or leaves a mark on my skin. The gold hands pop from the black and blue background and the red and white second hand's arrow head just makes a great contrast. I have put it on a universal beads of rice metal bracelet and it just completes the neo-vintage look. The price was spot on and the quality has been great. Not a lot to complain about. If you're sitting on the fence just buy this watch! I haven't been disappointed I don't think you will either!

Excellent service arrived reasonably quickly well packaged, the watch is a lovely size and doesn’t overwhelm a smaller wrist the retro look is perfect compared to many modern designs and stands out for its unique appearance.

Comparing it to other watches in the same price range this is a standout piece and well worth the price

Resetting date is very difficult. Finding the exact spot on the stem is nearly impossible.

Beautiful watch, great specs, fantastic value for money.
For future releases Id do just 2 minor tweaks. 1. Applied indicies 2. Jubilee style bracelet with on the fly micro adjust.

Great looking watch, but I mistakenly thought it was Automatic without winding.

Nicer colours than the original. However lacking in wrist presence due to the smaller size. Don't really wear it.

I like the retro style. The watch is solid, has some heft to it and looks fantastic. Bought 3 for my family at Christmas!

I have been wearing my watch for over a month. The size of the case is just right. I am impressed by the lume on the dial , which lasts for many hours.
The heart of the watch the movement is very accurate. My only negative would
be the size of the crown which could be slightly larger. This is a sports watch
that I intend to wear for a long time. In closing this watch I can recommend
highly , and a big thanks to sheffield -well done.

Affordable, great design which is a faithful representation of the 70s skin diver watches. Great communication.

This is just a great piece that gets a TON of wrist time. It’s the perfect size and really comfortable. I’m a sucker for the triangular cutouts and have been since I was a kid. I like the watch so much I bought a backup.

So, when will there be a no date model?

I got this watch my girlfriend as a gift for her basic training graduation after hearing the ad on Switchcast. The quality is great for the price and the size is perfect for her wrist, not too big. She got a lot of compliments from her peers. Subtle but still noticeable.

Exactly what you want in a watch…sapphire crystal, stainless case, quality movement, unique dial. 38mm is a unique size as well for a modern men’s watch.

I love the Sheffield revival watches. Jay Turkbas is
A genius for bringing these classic skin divers back to market but with modern reliability and an easy to service movement.

I’m a uk customer and it always amazes me how fast my watches have reached me - proving it can be done.

Thank you Sheffield watches.

Build quality is fine but dial in blue is quite underwhelming.

Its one of the best watches, and the most accurate automatic watch I’ve ever owned. Its stylish, preeminently cool, and loses less than one second per day. I’m blown away by the quality especially at this price point. If you don’t yet own a Sheffield - you should.

Great watch!
I was not expecting to have this pleasing heft. Not that it is heavy, but it feels nice in and on the hand and It looks great on my 7 inch wrist!
The lume looks very cool too.
I have bought it to celebrate the birth of my daughter and I hope it will last many many years!
The delivery was faster than previously described (order on the 3rd and received it on the 9th).
I live in Spain so I had to pay 20€ Customs on delivery so bare that in mind!
Thank you very much Jay for such a cool watch!
