Brian was just four years old when his parents gave him his first watch, a Green Bay Packers timepiece that sparked a lifelong fascination with watches and collecting. Eleven years later, Brian’s life was tragically cut short in a swimming accident. In his memory, his family made a promise to accomplish great things in his name. More than 30 years later, with the support of thousands of people and an extraordinary global watch community, that promise has helped create more than 1,200 scholarships.

Sheffield was introduced to the Foundation by a longtime friend of the LaViolette family and acclaimed watch photographer Ty Alexander, who inspired us to help create something that honored Brian’s love of watches. Ty designed the striking green sunburst dial and gold second and subdial hands of the Chronograph as a subtle nod to Brian’s first Packers watch. It’s been a privilege to work with Ty and the LaViolette family to bring this watch to life.

Brian’s Sheffield Chronograph is built from 316L stainless steel with a 40mm case, 48mm lug-to-lug, drilled 20mm lugs, and a 13mm profile. At its heart is the VK64 mecha-quartz chronograph movement, combining quartz precision with the smooth sweep and instant reset of a mechanical chronograph.

The special green sunburst dial with gold accents is protected by an anti-glare sapphire crystal and paired with Swiss-lumed hands. A screw-down crown, quick-release FKM rubber strap, engraved stainless steel case back, and 100 meters of water resistance complete this special-edition chronograph.
