The new Chrono II is not a compromise. It has the same dial detail with a new classic black dial with white sub-dials…the reverse of the white dial and black sub-dial version. Both are based on examples of 60’s Sheffield Chrono dial designs.
The mecha-quartz movements are used to drive the chronograph. The timekeeping function is controlled by the venerable MechaQuartz VK 64 quartz movement whereas the stopwatch features of the chronograph are managed by a mechanical component and a sweeping seconds hand unlike the tick of a quartz seconds hand. These functions are sustained by a shared power source in a single battery. The result is the reliability of a quartz movement and the intricacy of mechanical components in its chronograph function.
