Borrowing style and cues from the classic design of Jay's Drivers Watch this new model has the same rugged 316L Steel Case but with a sandblasted finish to better hide the likely scratches a mechanic would tend to add to the watch surface while working in tight spaces. The steel case back has Jay's Signature and Thank You engraving. The chronograph is powered by the sturdy Seiko VK 64 Mecha-Quartz movement which combines a mechanical component for a smooth sweep second hand. The sapphire crystal with anti-glare coating protects a bright white textured dial with easy to read enlarged 60 minute sub-dial opposite the 24 hour sub-dial. The bright lume is Swiss and the watch is pressurized for 100 Meter Water Resistance. The black FKM rubber strap with quick release can be cleaned easily after being exposed to the engine work a mechanic is likely to do. A second leather strap is included if you want to dress the watch up.
