The SCR CHRONO VK is more than ever a Spike Feresten-inspired effort. His vision and direction to reference 60s and 70s classic chronograph designs was important, as was the quality and feel of the watch. Nothing was spared in terms of build and material, and it shows. You can feel the quality and heft of the 42mm 316L case and steel bracelet as well as see the fine detail and finish of the white linen dial and blue markers. The accuracy and reliability of the sturdy Mecha Quartz movement with its smooth sweep of the mechanical second hand is second to none. Love this watch. It's very well made and has a nice heft to it. The deployant clasp was a nice surprise! The watch hits well above its price point. It is a bit blingy, so I'll probably swap out the bracelet for a rally strap, which is more my vibe. Well done!

With cheap goods flooding, value is a nebulous concept in today’s marketplace. Jay has drawn a line in the sand and produced a watch that provides an exceptional definition. Combining a solid heft that feels perfect on the wrist and face that radiates sophistication this watch completely belies its modest price. Despite the influence by Spike Feresten of SCR infamy (JK big fan!), Sheffield has produced a watch that turns heads, sets a value standard that is real and will not be easily surpassed.
