I love the size and the design of the Solar Black. Very easy to read, very legible. However, I'm disappointed in the lume. The lume is not bright and fades quickly. The lume pictures on the website are misleading by being "enhanced". I was also disappointed to see the so-called drilled lugs are only for looks. The spring-bar actually uses a hole near the drilled lug. Despite these issues I actually enjoy wearing the watch. It has a regular spot in my rotation.

Lotta watch for the price. Nice proportions. Nice finishing. Accurate so far. Lume is acceptable. My first FKM strap and I’m not mad at it (but also haven’t had it in the pool yet). I think is is hands down the best way to go if you’re in the market for a solar quartz watch.

Received my Solar Black today. Didn't know what to expect as this is my first watch from Sheffield. I did do a little homework though and the brand has got great reviews so decided to give it a go.
I like the fact its a limited run of 45 and in hand its got a great weight to it, really nice face and I love the green on the markers. The red seconds hand is a really nice touch and goes well with the black and green.
Bezel has a little play but nothing major and at this price its good.
Really can't fault the watch for the price and is better than other watches I've bought for 2-3 times more.
Will definitely be buying more and I have my eye on the upcoming Solar Steel, as the piano black bezel looks amazing as do the face and hands, and its another great price.
Shipping was also very quick as I'm based in the UK.

Incredibly comfortable, great look and it never needs a battery or winding. Seems to have quite the reserve power. Slightly smaller overall so I wish it had greater contrast between the hands and the dial markers. I enjoy it as an everyday wear with any outfit.

Love it! Been looking for an attractive affordable skin diver with a vintage vibe. Shedfield nailed it! Plus, they took the affordablity aspect to the next level. I’m ready for a few others once they get restocked

Great looking watch with a reliable solar movement and premium features typically found in watches that cost two to three times as much. I love the cool design and subtle retro vibe. This is my third Sheffield watch, and the only downside is I can’t wear them all simultaneously.

Nicer than the photos in person and probably the best deal you can find on a solar diver. The attention to detail and finishing is very well done.

I like it - I picked it up to do a video on my YouTube channel - I like the 1A 38mm as it's closest to the original Sheffield however, lacking the domed crystal it's tough for me to go for it. I wanted to support the new company so I went with this solar as the website mentioned only 48 were made.... I'll keep checking in to see when/if you make aversion with the domed crystal in the future - Maybe make it 40mm for us thick wristed guys...?

Got this watch for my Son’s 20th birthday…he loves it! So much bang for the buck here! Well built and very good looking in all black. Solar powered so no need to do anything except wear it and keep it charged. Great watch. I was so impressed I bought and automatic GMT with a white dial for myself for Christmas. Big thumbs up!
