5*****
The Sheffield Camp 25 Diver 1A delivers outstanding precision. Tested on a timegrapher, its Miyota 8215 automatic movement showed excellent accuracy, performing well above expectations for its price range.
Add to that a 40mm 316L stainless steel case, sapphire crystal with anti-glare, 200m water resistance, and upgraded Swiss lume that glows brilliantly in low light—the result is a watch that feels far more premium than its cost suggests.
This is a timepiece that proves Sheffield’s commitment to quality and value, offering accuracy and reliability that rival watches many times the price.
If you are looking for a quality, waterproof diver watch with a sporty yet classy appearance, then look no further. This Sheffield watch has been noticed by several of my friends who appreciate the all black case, the blue face and the black leather band. It has a Sapphire crystal that lays down low and flat under a shirt cuff. A fun perk is the extra diver band for switching with the leather band. Another huge plus is the Swiss movement which is a big deal at this price. Obviously, the Superproduction design is a super production and definitely gets a two-thumbs up.
Great quality watch, a little quirky with the 24 hour dial - but that is the appeal. Recommend as delivery was very efficient.
It’s green, it’s great value and the quality is excellent. I have 7 or 8 Sheffield watches…all nice pieces and very comfortable. Five stars.
First off, I’ve purchased 3 watches from Sheffield, so I obviously like the watches. Hard to beat for the price. For this specific watch, I’d prefer the bezel to be flat black, and I’d like the hour hand to be slightly bigger for my old eyes to see. Would love a white face version like the GMT.
As a Yorkshireman living in the US I was delighted to get this watch. The face is clean and simple, yet patriotic at the same time. The movement works as advertised.
Fit and finish, quality and comfort- the design is brilliant I find myself wearing it constantly!
LOVE this watch. LOTS of compliments on it. Love the offset dial when on road trips. The watch really stands out and the band is really comfortable. Great size..
Really like this watch, wish the yellow was just a little bit brighter, like the orange one, but it still looks great, feels great wearing, and get a lot of compliments and questions.
I love it! Looks great and the uniqueness of the offset of the Crown is eye catching.
Thank you,
Kurt
Great looking watch, sporty and classic. Have received many compliments on it.
Love the aesthetics of the watch. Fits my wrist well.
As a lifelong watch enthusiast and car aficionado, I’ve always believed that great design lives at the intersection of precision, performance, and story. That’s exactly where the Jay Leno’s Garage Limited Edition Driver’s Watch by Sheffield lands — a timepiece that fuses motoring heritage with everyday functionality in a way that feels refreshingly authentic.
From the moment I unboxed it, I knew this was not another gimmicky celebrity collaboration. The packaging is understated yet elegant — a nod to Sheffield’s vintage roots — and the first thing that catches the eye is the driver-oriented dial layout, inspired by the classic motoring watches of the 1940s and 1950s. The off-center angle of the dial isn’t just stylistic; it’s purposeful, designed for optimal legibility while driving — a thoughtful detail that sets this watch apart from the many “automotive” watches that miss the mark.
Design & Craftsmanship
The case feels solid in hand, finished in brushed stainless steel with proportions that strike the right balance between sporty and sophisticated. It’s powered by a Seiko NH39 automatic movement, a proven and reliable caliber that reinforces the watch’s functional credibility. A screw-down crown and 20 ATM water resistance add to its tool-watch character — impressive specifications for a piece at this price point.
What stands out most to me, though, is the dial design. It’s clean, legible, and purposeful. The typography has that mid-century industrial feel — restrained yet bold. The lume application is generous without overdoing it, and the overall composition is deeply reminiscent of the golden era of motorsport timing instruments. This is a driver’s watch in the truest sense — not a fashion statement, but a nod to the form-follows-function ethos that defined early motoring chronometers.
Heritage & Storytelling
Jay Leno’s passion for mechanical excellence is well documented, and it shows here. This collaboration doesn’t feel like a licensing exercise; it feels personal. Every design element, from the slanted orientation to the case engraving, reflects a genuine appreciation for mechanical craftsmanship. You can see the influence of someone who understands not just cars, but the artistry of mechanical precision — and Sheffield executes that vision faithfully.
For a watch that retailed around $268, it delivers remarkable value. The fact that it sold out within hours twice speaks volumes about how well it resonated with enthusiasts. I’ve seen it listed on secondary markets for over $800, and while I don’t buy watches for speculation, it’s a testament to the desirability of the piece.
On the Wrist
On the wrist, the watch feels natural — versatile enough for daily wear, but with a distinct personality that invites conversation. It pairs just as well with a leather jacket behind the wheel of a vintage coupe as it does with a sport coat on a business day. It’s light, comfortable, and exudes a quiet confidence that only well-thought-out design can achieve.
Final Thoughts
The Jay Leno’s Garage Limited Edition Driver’s Watch isn’t trying to be a luxury timepiece — it’s trying to be a great watch, period. And in that mission, it succeeds completely. It’s functional, well-built, historically grounded, and infused with genuine passion for both driving and horology.
As someone who’s spent decades around fine watches and precision engineering, I appreciate pieces that have a soul — and this one does. It captures the spirit of the open road, the hum of a finely tuned engine, and the joy of mechanical craftsmanship — all at a price point that makes it accessible to anyone who shares that love.
Verdict: A true driver’s companion, designed for those who understand that time — like the road — is best measured by passion and precision.
Rating: ★★★★★ 9/10 ANd I bought three more other Sheffield Drivera Watches as gifts, the GL1 and I am considering the 24 horu watch
Great design! Love the details!
But the strap could be little bit better.
I would give 4.5 stars if that was possible. I purchased the first run of this watch on a whim after loving the 24 hour Sheffield. It’s beautiful. It reminds me of the Seastar 1000 Powermatic 80 but is almost 1/2 the price. The dial is beautiful and I like the inclusion of two straps. My only gripe is that the bezel doesn’t 100% align to the 12 o’clock position, it’s slightly to the right. Not sure if that is an issue with my particular watch or the bezel mechanism in general. As a side note, wish there was some sort of marker to show this was a first run for the collection as I expect this to be coveted in the future!
It’s a really nice watch, I do wish the band was longer. Big guy, big wrist. The ordering, and speed the watch was delivered was amazing. All in all, Two thumbs up 👍.
